The greatest chefs in all the world had prepared their finest plate
My mates and I knew well in advance and decided to crash the gate
The Scots presented their meatballs and their chef was highly skilled
And being a Scot it's impossible not to be thrilled

Nate McInnis cried, "They're perfect!" Warren Doss exclaimed, "It's true."
Me, I'm a bit of a skeptical sort, I decided to try them, too
"Never before have I tasted a finer meatball, to be sure
"By God, any man upon sampling them will concur."

The judge did slowly make his rounds 'til he reached the bonnie vat
At once he declared with a tear in his eye and tip of his mighty hat:
"I egg rolls they were good, and I loved the Spanish rice
"But I'll be damned if the meatballs weren't a hundred times as nice."

Within a few short minutes, all but one or two balls were left
Armed with only toothpicks the crowd seemed ready to fight to the death
